Carbohydrates or carbohydrates are composed of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen, and its main function is to provide us with immediate energy. Amylase contributes to the breakdown of carbohydrates into glucose (sugar in the bloodstream) to provide energy immediately.

With the passage of time and the new awareness of nutrition and body care people they have begun to distinguish between simple and complex carbohydrates.

Simple carbohydrates are composed of chemically or two sugars, these types of carbohydrates are found in highly refined foods and add little nutritional value. Therefore it is advisable to consume too little of these.

We can find carbohydrates for example we use daily sugar or white flour, cakes, chocolate, milk, fruits, fruit juices ...

Furthermore, carbohydrates, compounds are chemically composed of three or more sugars. This type of carbohydrate besides provide the body with energy, nutrients, vitamins, fiber ... and a feeling of satiety.

We can find complex carbohydrates in many foods such as corn, carrot, eggplant, garlic, asparagus, apples, zucchini ...
